after a long rain. The sun was just coming out.

Drops of water covered every part of this plant due to the
plants amazing adaptation. Its tiny hairs covered the edges
of every leaf to hold the water drops. Outside of Mapleton, OR

Simplistic Beauty
These pine needles were hidden in the dense forest and gently held
the drops of rain. Amazingly green and lush for just coming out
of an Oregon winter. Outside of Mapleton, OR. (March 2008).
A hawthorn tree's berries encased in ice after heavy ice storms
in Iowa City. The berries hadn't dropped from fall yet, but winter
decided to come early. (November 2007).
